Loss of Books by Members
The recovery of books lost/mutilated by the library users or the books not returned with in a period of three months by the library users may be recovered as per below criteria-
- Lost/mutilated book should be replaced with a new book by the library user, OR
- The cost of the book may be recovered from the library user (If, in foreign currency, it is to be charged at the current conversion rates).
Important Instructions
- Members are expected to handle the books, pages of documents with care, and not mark anything (even in pencil).
- All users of the Library are required to sign in on arrival.
- Bags and all personal belongings must be deposited at the carrels kept at the entrance of the library at the right hand side.
- Use of mobile phones and personal music players is not allowed in the Library.
- Conversation should be kept to a minimum to avoid disturbing other users.
- Smoking, eating and drinking are not permitted.
Copyright Restrictions
All users of NIPGR Library, resources must respect the copyright in works that are accessible through computers connected to National Institute of Plant Genome Research LAN. No copyrighted work may be copied, published, disseminated, displayed, performed, or played without permission of the copyright holder except in accordance with fair use or licensed agreement. National Institute of Plant Genome Research, may terminate the network access of users who are found to have repeatedly infringed the copyright of others.
Licensing restrictions
Electronic resources listed on the NIPGR site are restricted by license agreement to members of the NIPGR community for the purposes of research and teaching. Commercial use and systematic downloading, copying or distributing of information is expressly prohibited. Users are individually responsible for compliance with these terms.
