About Ramalingaswami Reentry Fellowship and Conclave |
Ramalingaswami re-entry fellowship scheme was initiated by Department of Biotechnology for Indian nationals who are working in overseas laboratories and would like to return to home country to pursue his/her research interests. This year is 10th anniversary of the fellowship. This conclave is organized to assess the progress made by fellows. |
 |
The conclave also acts as a platform where all the scientists selected meet on a common forum to discuss inter alia how well they have been able to relocate, how far their expectations from fellowship have been met, by the host institutions and the funding agency and difficulties, if any, are being faced by them. The conclave is expected to bring together the fellows now in India to share their experiences, promote collegiality and help building enduring professional relationships among them. During the conclave the fellows will also meet senior scientists who have had experience in setting up their own research groups in India, policy makers, research funding agencies and others.
The 8th conclave is being organized by National Institute of Plant Genome Research (NIPGR), New Delhi during 15-17th February 2018. The programs of the conclave will be held jointly at The Ashok Hotel, Diplomatic Avenue, Chankyapuri, New Delhi and NIPGR, New Delhi.
The participation to conclave is by invitation only. |
