Genome Research, is an Autonomous Research Institution, funded by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, and conducts basic and applied research in the frontier areas of plant biology. The Institute invites online applications from candidates who have completed or will be completing M.Sc. or equivalent degree (by August 31, 2026) in Life Sciences\/Biotechnology and\/or in related disciplines with minimum 55% marks [a relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50% or an equivalent relaxation of grade, will be allowed for those belonging to SC, ST, OBC (non-creamy layer), and PwD, or for those who had obtained their Master\u2019s degree prior to 19<sup>th<\/sup> September, 1991], and have qualified national level test for pursuing Doctor of Philosophy degree including a doctoral fellowship test conducted by University Grants Commission or Council for Scientific and Industrial Research or Department of Biotechnology for JRF (with a five year valid fellowship and Junior Research Fellowship activation valid up to December 31, 2026) for conducting advanced research in the frontier areas of Plant Biology such as, Developmental Biology, Genome Analysis and Molecular Mapping, Molecular Mechanism of Abiotic Stress Responses, Plant-Microbe\/Insect Interactions and Plant Immunity, Nutritional Genomics, Genetic Engineering, Genome Editing and Molecular Breeding for Crop Improvement, Computational Biology, Structure Biology and other emerging areas in the field. Reservations are as per statutory norms.
